Domson Engineering & Inspection Ltd provides a range of services including visual and non-destructive testing, resident quality assurance, expediting, and source inspection. Our inspection services are all supported by an engineering backbone that allows us to propose repair solutions to deficiencies and to determine root causes for material failures.
Beyond having a strong understanding of material inspection and welding processes, our engineering department also specializes in the design of custom lifting equipment, lift planning for critical lift operations, heavy equipment modification, and accident investigation.
With our head office in Brampton, Ontario, and satellite inspection offices in Sudbury and Sarnia, we are able to service most of Ontario quickly with little travel required. Our new office in Mount Pearl provides coverage all over Newfoundland and the Maritimes.
Personnel are generally available to travel out of town for extended periods as necessary to meet client requirements. Thus, we are able to service all other provinces and territories in Canada for special projects with little notice.
Domson's roots have grown out of the heavy lift and construction industries where we began inspecting mobile lift equipment and providing design support for this industry. Since our inception in 1998, Domson has grown into the leading inspection company serving the mobile crane and aerial equipment industries.
We extended our capabilities into the structural steel and bridge industries working with engineering firms, fabricators, and major structural steel erectors on projects at Pearson Airport, all over numerous highways, and at numerous commercial buildings.
From there we moved into quality assurance, serving the petrochemical, transportation, boiler and pressure vessel, ship-building, pipeline, and structural industries.
The past years have seen us expand our capabilities significantly with the addition of storage tank inspection services, tube inspection using eddy current, remote field, and IRIS testing, as well as electromagnetic wire rope testing. Our latest expansion into the province of Newfoundland will provide tremendous opportunities for expansion of our core activities as well as opportunities to develop new capabilities.
